ELYRIA, Ohio—Students showcased their talents for the Lord at the Ohio/Michigan Talents For Christ state competition at First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 16.
“A good number of students demonstrated their talents in 16 different categories,” says Karen Wood. “The largest group of individual participants were in the categories of preaching and piano. Group categories included both large and small vocal ensembles, as well as instrumental ensembles, puppets, drama, and more. It was very exciting to see so many young people participating. Praise the Lord for an outstanding day!”
Talents For Christ helps teens develop their God-given talents and encourages them to use their talents to serve in their churches. At the Ohio/Michigan state level, nine students earned college scholarships and qualified to compete at the national level on June 28 at the GARBC Conference in Oswego, Illinois.
